CITYnews halifax / By Mark Hodgins

Haligonians will get a chance to get a look at the original FIFA World Cup trophy ahead of the prestigious event kicking off in Canada next month.

The Trophy Tour will give fans an opportunity to see and get pictures with the trophy, along with other events, at the BMO Soccer Centre on Thomas Raddall Drive, between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m.

The event will also make for some traffic and parking impacts in that area.

The municipality says the Halifax Mainland Common Park parking lot will be closed, and parking at the BMO Soccer Centre will be limited on Saturday. Parking is also not going to be allowed on Thomas Raddal Drive during the event.
