On Sunday, officers responded to two separate incidents involving women who became ill and showed signs of impairment after drinking small amounts of alcohol. Police said in both cases, they required medical attention. According to HRP, the incidents took place at different establishments, and there is currently no evidence to suggest they are connected. Officers are now investigating whether the drinks may have been tampered with, as administering a drug to a person without their knowledge or consent is a criminal offence. Effects can sometimes last up to 12 hours.
