Police investigate suspicious fire at Walmart

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a suspicious fire at a Dartmouth Crossing big box store.

Firefighters were called to the Walmart on Lamont Terrace at around 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators believe the fire was deliberately set inside of a washroom.

When the fire alarm went off, customers and staff were able to get out of the store and there are no reported injuries.

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to call police at 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
