That can be done online or by calling 1-833-797-7772. Anyone in this age group is eligible once at least 120 days have passed since the last booster dose. Pfizer and Moderna are recommended, but those who can’t get an mRNA vaccine for medical reasons may opt for Novavax. “Boosters are more than just a nice-to-do – they are an important part of protecting yourself and others against COVID-19,” said Dr. Shelley Deeks, Nova Scotia’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Health, in a news release. “The number of doses you need to maximize your protection against COVID-19, particularly against severe outcomes, is different depending on your age and health status. That’s why it’s important to understand how many vaccine doses are right for you and the other members of your family and to book the appointments you need to stay up to date.” In addition, based on updated recommendations from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization, boosters are now being encouraged for kids between the ages of 12 and 17. Pfizer is the only option for this age group and bookings are open now. “They must wait 168 days after their second vaccine dose to receive the booster, though children who are moderately or severely immunocompromised are able to receive their booster dose after 120 days,” the province said. Anyone who has recently had COVID should wait 90 days from the onset of symptoms or a positive test before booking a booster. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Royal backlash and a colonial reckoning colour the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next post أيّ تعاون مع روسيا ’’مستحيل‘‘ حالياً، حسب فريلاند You may also like المؤسسات الصغيرة تواجه إلغاء أو تأجيل طلبيات جراء... 13 فبراير، 2025 N.S. woman awarded damages after criminal case dropped... 13 فبراير، 2025 مسؤول أميركي يقول إنّ كلام ترامب عن الولاية... 13 فبراير، 2025 Freezing rain expected for Halifax; schools dismissing students... 13 فبراير، 2025 Health care, housing, highways: Priorities in the provincial... 13 فبراير، 2025 Freezing rain warning in effect for HRM, HRCE... 13 فبراير، 2025 Mental health care for rural Black people in... 13 فبراير، 2025 Nova Scotia announces plans for two new schools... 13 فبراير، 2025 Nova Scotia Legislature set to resume with calls... 13 فبراير، 2025 بلير لا يرى ’’تهديداً حقيقياً‘‘ في كلام ترامب... 12 فبراير، 2025
