In a policy statement on climate action, Freeland also says she is committed to meeting Canada’s climate targets by reducing pollution from the biggest emitters, helping people cut their energy bills and building reliable electricity grids. Freeland says her plan will build durable, lasting climate progress without making Canadians pay the cost. She promises to work with provinces and territories, labour leaders, experts, industry, Indigenous Peoples and others to find viable alternatives to consumer carbon pricing. Leadership rival Mark Carney has also promised to dispense with the consumer-facing carbon price in favour of other measures, saying the country has become polarized over the policy due to misinformation. The Liberals will choose a new leader to succeed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on March 9. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Liberal party kicks Ruby Dhalla out of leadership race next post ترامب يوقّع مذكّرة لفرض رسوم جمركيّة ردّاً على ضرائب رقميّة You may also like جمعية تحثّ أساتذة الجامعات الكندية على عدم السفر... 17 أبريل، 2025 دونا سكلي تصبح أول امرأة رئيسة للجمعية التشريعية... 17 أبريل، 2025 Leaders target campaign front-runner Mark Carney in French-language... 17 أبريل، 2025 Crown drops second-degree murder charge for teen in... 17 أبريل، 2025 Halifax gets failing grade for fiscal accountability in... 17 أبريل، 2025 Five people charged after stolen alcohol case 17 أبريل، 2025 ‘Significant gaps’ in health care knowledge in addressing... 17 أبريل، 2025 مانيتوبا تحول بعض صادراتها الكهربائية من الولايات المتحدة... 15 أبريل، 2025 بيار بواليافر يتعهّد بطرد مرتكبي الأعمال المعادية للسامية 15 أبريل، 2025 Nova Scotia auditor general credits government on progress... 15 أبريل، 2025
