The province has announced it is investing $1.2 million into the Cherry Brook facility. African Nova Scotian Affairs Minister Twila Grosse says the funding will help the centre build capacity and make African Nova Scotian history and culture accessible for generations to come. Black Cultural Society chair Mervyn Broome says the investment is an important milestone that will empower the centre to embark on ambitious projects to ensure stories and traditions are preserved. The centre officially opened in 1983 and houses a museum as well as hosts many events, including concerts, plays, workshops and lectures. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Special weather statement issued with rain and strong winds forecast for weekend next post Accès aux CPE pour les demandeurs d’asile : Québec se tournera vers la Cour suprême You may also like 2024 Nova Scotians wake up to crisp, clean snow 25 ديسمبر، 2024 Police seeking information in two deaths ruled as... 25 ديسمبر، 2024 Water service and traffic advisory in effect for... 25 ديسمبر، 2024
