Zellers re-launched its online platform, “Zellers.ca,” on March 23, 2023, and has been busy re-introducing pop-up stores in Canada ever since. There are currently 25 locations within Hudson’s Bay stores across the country, which serve as strategic market tests to determine future Zellers store locations. The retailer confirmed that a new round of 21 Zellers pop-up stores would be introduced on August 11, 2023, spanning five provinces and almost all in new markets. Zellers also announced plans to open its next store experience at Hudson’s Bay in Brampton, Ont.’s Bramalea City Centre in September 2023. Hudson’s Bay Co., the parent company of Zellers, first announced the Zellers comeback in August 2022. The comeback of Canadian retail chain Zellers officially kicks off, with the first 12 of 25 planned stores opening in Ontario and Quebec.
