Halifax Regional Police are looking into whether a vehicle found damaged by gunfire in Dartmouth may be related to a shooting earlier this week in Bedford.

Officers were called to Duke Street near the Bedford Commons shopping centre at around 11 p.m. Wednesday, where they found a man inside a vehicle who had been shot.

The 34-year-old-man was rushed to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Then on Thursday, police were told of a damaged vehicle in the parking lot of a business on the west end of Wright Avenue.

“Through the investigation it was determined that the vehicle had been struck as a result of shots fired in the area,” said HRP in a news release.

“The investigations are in the early stages, however investigators believe that the scene on Wright Avenue may be related to the call reported in Bedford.”

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to call police at 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
