A valuable painting appears to have been stolen from a parked vehicle.
Halifax Regional Police say, last Monday (Jan. 31) a man had been moving items from Prescott Street to Inglis Street.
While he was unloading the vehicle, he noticed the painting was missing.
Police say the man had been walking back and forth at both locations while loading and unloading the vehicle, so he’s not sure which spot the theft occurred.
The late 1970s painting by Nova Scotian artist Joe Norris is titled “Starry Night” (Boy with Fox). It is enamel on stretched canvas and measures 24″ x 30″.
Anyone with information or video from the areas is asked to call police at 902-490-5020, or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
