Just under a month after it began the strike is over at Mount Saint Vincent University.

According to MSVU’s Faculty Association, a deal has been ratified, formally ending the strike.

On February 12, 160 faculty, librarians and lab instructors walked off the job.

The union says the members were on strike in part for higher wages and benefits, and to bring them in line with other Atlantic universities.

The Mount Saint Vincent University Faculty Association have released few details on their website, but say the agreement followed long hours at the bargaining table that extended from Saturday morning late into Monday night

It adds that 93 per cent of members were in favour of ratifying the deal.

In a release, the union notes that faculty will return to work today with classes to resume on Thursday.
