According to the municipality, crews began work Monday to lower speed limits in the Governors Lake Drive area. Officials say limits will be reduced from 50 km/h to 40 km/h on a number of streets, including Governors Lake Drive, Lakehigh Crescent, Lambert Lane and Kendall Court. Neighbourhood speed limit reductions are part of HRM’s broader road safety strategy. The city says studies show reducing speeds from 50 to 40 km/h increases pedestrian survival rates by 40 per cent in the event of a collision. HRM says these areas were selected based on available data and roadway characteristics that met provincial qualifications and received provincial approval. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Fire damages Dartmouth home next post Nova Scotia takes feds to court, saying it must protect land link You may also like Police involved in power pole crash while chasing... 28 أبريل، 2026 Three drivers in HRM charged with stunting 2026 Manitoba man killed in Shubenacadie car crash 27 أبريل، 2026 Prime Minister Mark Carney announces Canada’s 1st sovereign... 27 أبريل، 2026 Power restored after thousands in the dark in...
