According to a post on social media, Halifax Professional Firefighters say crews responded just after 4 a.m. to alarms sounding at the Armoury on North Park Street opposite the Halifax Common. Authorities say they arrived to find an active fire, which has since been raised to a two-alarm fire, activating support from the DND Dockyard. Crews continue at this time to put out the fire and say people should expect significant road closures in the area including Nora Bernard Street, Cunard Street, North Park Street and Maynard Street. Authorities say further closures could occur with little notice. It appears the fire is impacting more than 2,000 customers in the area, with Nova Scotia Power showing outages on their outage map. Further details to come as the situation is updated. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post New survey suggests Canadians feel health-care system has deteriorated next post You may also like Diesel prices to shift again in Nova Scotia... 6 March، 2026 Halifax Water investigating ‘privacy incident’ on its online... 6 March، 2026 Halifax teens lament the loss of government program... 6 March، 2026 Spring Garden area businesses call out paid parking... 6 March، 2026 ‘A terrible idea’: Halifax to raise parking fees,... 6 March، 2026
