RCMP write 31 tickets in a few hours Sunday night

Mounties say numerous complaints brought them to the Fall River, Prospect and Timberlea areas

RCMP say it only took officers a few hours to hand out 31 tickets to drivers in the Fall River, Prospect and Timberlea areas Sunday night.

Mounties say they picked those communities for traffic enforcement following “numerous public complaints of vehicle gatherings and reports of street racing.”

They’re asking anyone who spots a dangerous driver to report it to police when it’s safe to do so.

“It’s helpful to include the location and description of the vehicle (including license plate number, colour, make and model), its direction of travel and a description of the driver,” RCMP said in a news release.
