Public Health Mobile Units will be stopping at these Halifax area locations this week

The Public Health Mobile Units will be offering more drop-in COVID-19 testing in our area this week.

  • Halifax Transit Lacewood Terminal (320 Lacewood Dr., Halifax) – outdoors

Thursday, Aug. 19 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Rainbow Haven Beach Provincial Park (2249 Cow Bay Rd.) – outdoors

Friday, Aug. 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Ketch Harbour Community Hall (964 Ketch Harbour Rd.)

Saturday, Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Musquodoboit Harbour Farmers Market (7895 HWY 7)

Sunday, Aug. 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

They’ll also be nearby HRM at the following locations:

  • Fisheries Museum (68 Bluenose Dr., Lunenburg – parking lot) – outdoors

Friday and Saturday, Aug. 19-20 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  • 17 Creighton Rd., Shubenacadie East – outdoors

Saturday, Aug. 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In the event of inclement weather, the clinic will be held in the Training Centre.

Testing is free and available to all ages and all visitors.

Important notes when visiting the mobile unit:

  • Unless you have symptoms you do not need to self-isolate while you wait for your results, unless directly advised by Public Health to isolate.
  • The testing method is standard PCR swab or Swish and Gargle for children and youth. Preparation is required for gargle testing. View instructions.
  • Please bring your health card with you, if you have one.
  • When testing is offered outside, please dress accordingly.
