Power interruption impacting afternoon commute

Nova Scotia Power reported a significant power interruption in the Fall River area.

According to the utility outage map, the outage runs along Highway 118 from just past the intersection with Highway 107. It extends north to Fletchers Lake and includes parts of Waverley, Miller Lake and Fall River.

The outage impacted about 27 hundred customers this hour, with the cause under investigation. The estimated restoration time is listed as 6:30 p.m.
