Police look for information about Mazda 3 in shooting investigation

Witnesses said a suspect appeared to be shooting at people in the vehicle in late October

Halifax Regional Police are looking for more information about a mid-2000s beige Mazda 3 sedan that may have been the target of a shooting late last month in Dartmouth.

Officers were called to Roleika Drive just before 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29.

Witnesses said a suspect appeared to be shooting at people in the Mazda 3 as it was parked in a lot adjacent to an apartment building.

The vehicle and suspect were both gone by the time police arrived.

Another vehicle in the parking lot was damaged by bullets. It was empty at the time and there were no reports of injuries.

The suspect is described as a man with a thin build, around 5’5″ and he had been wearing dark clothing.
