Pedestrian has life-threatening injuries after crash near Robie St. (update)

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning.

Halifax Regional Police say the 70-year-old man was crossing St. Albans Street — which is south of Almon — just before 7 a.m. when a he was hit by a vehicle turning left from St. Albans onto Robie Street.

As of 10:20 a.m., police say St. Albans Street has been reopened to traffic.
