Overnight winter parking ban lifted across HRM

The Halifax Regional Municipality has lifted its overnight winter parking ban.

The ban, which prohibits on-street parking, had been in effect for several days as the Halifax area dug out from a significant snowfall.

“Operations are focused on priority sidewalks and transit routes today,” said a release from the municipality. “Detail work is ongoing throughout the municipality. Crews are also now transitioning to hauling snow.”

The municipality said there would continue to be delays in some areas as the snow clearing process finished up.
