Faculty and support staff planned to strike on Monday if NSCC and the Atlantic Academic Union couldn’t come to terms. According to a release from NSCC, the union will recommend that members accept the tentative agreement. The union will schedule a ratification vote this week, the release says. Details of the agreement will not be released until ratification. NSCC spokesperson Kathleen Cameron declined to comment on the agreement pending ratification and said the release was agreed upon by both parties. CBC is awaiting a response from the union.
