CANADAHALIFAX news Nova Scotia government needs to act faster on past recommendations: auditor general by admin 19 أبريل، 2023 written by admin 19 أبريل، 2023 100 CITYnews halifax \ By The Canadian Press HALIFAX – Nova Scotia’s auditor general says the provincial government needs to pick up its pace in implementing recommendations from past reports by her office. Kim Adair says although the province implemented 92 per cent of the recommendations made in 2018, it has since fallen off to 61 per cent in 2019 and 35 per cent in 2020. Adair says in the case of the 2020 reports, the follow up rate by the government is one of the worst in nearly two decades. The auditor general points out that the government has said publicly that the agreed-upon time frame to complete any set of recommendations is two years. Despite the much higher implementation rate in 2018, Adair says five recommendations remain outstanding. She says given that four years have passed, all of the 2018 recommendations should have been implemented by now.
