CANADAHALIFAX news No charges after weapons call forces lockdown at Avon View High School by admin 5 أبريل، 2023 written by admin 5 أبريل، 2023 47 CITYnews halifax\ By Dan Ahlstrand RCMP were called to Avon View High School just before noon on Monday after a report that a group of 4 students were seen taking a firearm out of the trunk of a car before entering the school. Police arrived on the scene and immediately placed the school into lockdown. Around the same time, a pellet gun was found inside a car in the parking lot. Officers, with the help of staff at the school, quickly found the four students interviewed inside the principal’s office. The lockdown was lifted a short time later. RCMP say their investigation determined that no firearms had entered the school and that none of the youth had threatened the school, students or staff, adding that the pellet gun did not meet the definition of a firearm under the Criminal Code and, as a result, no charges will be laid. The Mounties remind the public that schools are not the place for weapons or items that can be perceived as a threat to safety. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Parts of Nova Scotia could see “significant” freezing rain this week next post The Mooseheads take to the road looking to take stranglehold in playoff series with Cape Breton You may also like 2025 Atlantic Canada voters critical for Liberals this federal... 11 أبريل، 2025 Here is the final list of N.S. candidates... 11 أبريل، 2025 Woman, 77, seriously injured after being hit by... 11 أبريل، 2025 Speed limits dropping in Fairview 10 أبريل، 2025 Nova Scotia video game studio looks to make... 10 أبريل، 2025
