On June 4, the province estimated as many as 100,000 Nova Scotians had their personal information stolen in the breach of the file transfer software called MOVEit. Tricia Ralph announced today she will launch a probe that will aim to review the adequacy of the government’s, Nova Scotia Health’s and IWK Health’s security and information practices as well as how they responded to the breach under the province’s various privacy acts. Few details were given since the investigation is considered active, according to a press release. To this point, Ralph’s office has heard 110 privacy complaints from individuals who were notified that they were impacted by the MOVEit hack. Those complaints will inform the comprehensive investigation and be addressed in the document once it is published and put online. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post CBC head Catherine Tait summoned to committee over job cuts, executive bonuses next post Halifax police charge man with drug trafficking You may also like Manitoba man killed in Shubenacadie car crash 27 أبريل، 2026 Prime Minister Mark Carney announces Canada’s 1st sovereign... 27 أبريل، 2026 Power restored after thousands in the dark in... 2026 Liberals must show results in spring economic update:... 27 أبريل، 2026 Bayers Road blood collection clinic to reopen Tuesday 17 مارس، 2026
