CANADAHALIFAX news N.S. health care administrators protest again for higher wages by admin 12 أكتوبر، 2023 written by admin 12 أكتوبر، 2023 68 By CityNews Halifax Staff Health care administration staff are expected to protest outside of hospitals in Nova Scotia for a second time today. On Sept. 25, thousands of health administrative professionals and supporters gathered outside the Dickson Building at the QEII Health Sciences on University Avenue, Dartmouth General Hospital and nine other hospitals around the province. According to the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU), the so-called Day of Action lunch hour protest will draw attention to the workers’ nearly three-year old expired contract. Job action for administrators cannot be taken without an Essential Services Agreement so the protest will shed light on what the NSGEU says are some of the lowest paid workers in the health care sector. The NSGEU website states the protest coincides with a return to the bargaining table today. Other areas where staff will participate in the Day of Action around the province include: Cape Breton, Cape Breton Regional Hospital Truro, Colchester East Hants Health Centre Windsor, Hants Community Hospital Kentville, Valley Regional Hospital Bridgewater, South Shore Regional Hospital Yarmouth, Yarmouth Regional Hospital Antigonish, St. Martha’s Regional Hospital New Glasgow, Aberdeen Hospital Amherst, Cumberland Colchester Hospital 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Military training scheduled to happen in and around Halifax next post Nova Scotia Health bringing back masking requirements starting Oct. 12 You may also like 2025 No tsunami threat after 5.1 magnitude earthquake near... 22 فبراير، 2025 Premiers Ford and Houston appeal to governors in... 22 فبراير، 2025 RCMP seized loaded handgun in Halifax; many charges... 22 فبراير، 2025 Police looking for driver involved in hit-and-run in... 22 فبراير، 2025 ‘Control-mania’: Nova Scotia premier accused of executive overreach... 22 فبراير، 2025 Four men charged in months-long home repair scam 20 فبراير، 2025
