Slushy roads and snow causes headaches for some commuters. (Mark Hodgins_ CityNews) CANADAHALIFAX news N.S. 15 to 20 cm snow on the way by admin 18 يناير، 2026 written by admin 18 يناير، 2026 52 CITYnews halifax / By Rachel Morgan Most of Nova Scotia is set to get a fresh dumping of snow. Environment Canada has issued a yellow snowfall warning for most of the province, forecasting 15 to 25 cm of snow Sunday evening overnight into Monday. Temperatures are expected to hover near zero, creating dense and wet snow. This can make clearing very difficult. “Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow,” the weather authority says. The precipitation will also make travel difficult so if you have errands to run it’s best to get them done in the morning. Snow is expected to lighten up again by Monday morning. Winter parking ban in effect Halifax Regional Municipality has issued an overnight winter parking ban which will be in effect from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. Monday morning to allow crews to properly clear roads and sidewalks. “Vehicles must be off municipal streets during the hours noted above,” the city said. “Regardless of the status of an overnight winter parking ban, or whether you have received a notification, vehicles can be towed, day or night, at any time of year, if they are interfering with snow-clearing operations, as per Section 139 of the Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Act.” Vehicles hanging out of a driveway or parked on the sidewalk are prone to damage and become obstacles for crews that make clearing more difficult. The municipality says anyone obstructing sidewalk clearing will be ticketed. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post مكاسب المغرب من احتضان كأس الأمم الأفريقيةد next post Despite Liberal pivot, Conservatives to keep pressing for tougher crime measures in Canada You may also like ‘A terrible idea’: Halifax to raise parking fees,... 6 مارس، 2026 Man found with gunshot wound in Dartmouth 5 مارس، 2026 Dartmouth director makes feature film debut amid N.S.... 5 مارس، 2026 Human remains found in Bridgewater deemed ‘suspicious’ 5 مارس، 2026 Cuts to benefits for caregivers in N.S. will... 5 مارس، 2026 كأس العالم لكرة القدم : ارتفاع أسعار غرف الفنادق... 5 مارس، 2026 الشرق الأوسط : مارك كارني يؤكّد أنّ كندا... 5 مارس، 2026 Hundreds rally against arts and culture cuts in... 5 مارس، 2026 NSCAD teaching assistants on strike after negotiations come... 5 مارس، 2026 Schools in Halifax, other regions delay opening due... 5 مارس، 2026
