RCMP say it was being used to make a delivery on Sackville Drive at the time. The truck was spotted heading down the Bedford Highway towards Halifax, but when an officer tried to pull it over, the suspect didn’t stop. Officers started patrolling the area and found the truck abandoned on the end of Basinview Drive. Mounties called in police dogs to help search for the driver and they were able to track the suspect down in the woods just before 3 p.m. Mitchell Budd, 25, has been charged with the following: Theft of a motor vehicle; Flight from a peace officer; Operation of a conveyance while prohibited; Failure to comply with conditions of a release order; Failure to comply with probation RCMP say the suspect is also wanted on arrest warrants out of Annapolis and Kings counties.
