Lucasville man killed in motorcycle crash

A man is dead after a crash involving a motorcycle in Lucasville.

According to the RCMP, officers were called on Wednesday evening to reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck at the intersection of Waterstone Run and Lucasville Road.

Police say the driver of the motorcycle, a 35-year-old Lucasville man, was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving measures.

The truck driver, a 67-year-old man from Hammonds Plains, was not injured, police say.

The intersection was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

The Mounties say the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
