The province has unvieled the location for some of the public housing coming to the Halifax area.

In an announcement on Friday, Housing minsiter John Lohr and Halifax MP Andy Fillmore revealed 150 units will come to HRM, including a new six-storey building at 2313 Gottingen St. at Ahern Manor and Uniacke Square, and two new buildings at Sackville Manor, 67 Old Beaver Bank Rd.

Details on further locations are expected in the coming weeks.

Also announced were 25 modular units that will be built across Nova Scotia.

The public housing is being funded by the provincial and federal governments, while the modular units are funded by the money set aside by Nova Scotia to house people in need after the wildfires in Halifax and Shelburne.
