Un cas de force majeure lié à la pandémie du coronavirus, a-t-on expliqué par voie de communiqué. La mesure s’applique jeudi soir. Que faire si vous détenez des billets pour des spectacles annulés? Ils vous seront remboursés selon la Société de la Place des Arts, il suffit d’entrer en contact avec son service à la clientèle. En ce qui a trait aux spectacles reportés, les détenteurs sont invités à les conserver. La Place des Arts affirme qu’elle contactera ces personnes lorsque de nouvelles dates seront établies. La suspension des activités de la Place des Arts ne s’applique pas aux espaces publics intérieurs ni à son stationnement. L’accès au métro de Montréal restera aussi ouvert. La Place des Arts est un lieu culturel rassembleur et historique de la plus grande ville francophone en Amérique. Elle compte des espaces renommés comme la salle Wilfrid-Pelletier et le Théâtre Jean-Duceppe.
