The Halifax Regional Municipality released a statement saying people can verify that they are on the elector’s list by visiting its website. Those details are used to send out voter information letters in late September to brief residents about how to vote online or by phone starting on Oct. 8. In-person voting is also an option with advance days set for Sat. Oct 12 and Tues. Oct 15 with the official Election Day set for Sat. Oct. 19. Information on the elector’s list is provided by Elections Nova Scotia, but all residents, particularly those who have recently moved within the municipality or have recently turned 18, should verify that their information is accurate.
