The majority of Nova Scotia, including Halifax Metro, is under a special weather statement for a storm expected to begin Monday that will bring high winds and heavy rain. According to Environment Canada, 30 to 50 mm of rain is expected throughout the day Monday. Rain is expected to start in the west and move eastward as the day progresses. Rain is expected to stop Tuesday night. If rain wasn’t enough to put a damper on your plans, high winds are also forecasted. Gusts could reach up to 70 to 90 km/h in exposed areas. Localized flooding can be expected. “Very mild temperatures will result in rapid melting of the remaining snowpack,” Environment Canada says. “In addition, partially frozen ground will have limited ability to absorb the excess water from the rainfall and the snowmelt.” Temperatures in Halifax are expected to reach 7 C Monday before climbing to 13 C on Tuesday. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Burn restrictions in place as wildfire risk season begins next post كيف نفهم التعاطي المصري مع الحرب الإيرانية؟ You may also like Burn restrictions in place as wildfire risk season... 16 مارس، 2026 Prince Harry and Meghan slam author of new... 16 مارس، 2026 الحكومة الكندية تمدّد تصاريح بعض العمال المؤقتين في... 15 مارس، 2026 كندا: فقدان 84.000 وظيفة ومعدل البطالة يرتفع إلى... 15 مارس، 2026 Halifax blood collection service to be closed again... 13 مارس، 2026 N.S. grant cuts will harm Mi’kmaq programs that... 13 مارس، 2026 Mounties charge 29-year-old man for driving while impaired... 13 مارس، 2026 Nova Scotia artist feels her chances ‘pretty good’... 13 مارس، 2026 Halifax man faces robbery charges after trading card... 13 مارس، 2026 Halifax unemployment rate rises slightly: StatCan 13 مارس، 2026
