Set to be an important battleground province for the Liberals and Conservatives, Nova Scotia voters are interesting in a number of issues in this election.

Top of mind for many is the economy and affordability. The province’s trade is tied up with the U.S. making many industries nervous amid the tariffs from the Donald Trump government.

Health care and housing funds could be limited depending on the fiscal ability of the federal government downloading funds to the province. Both are hot topic issues for Nova Scotians who continue to see long wait times to see a doctor and a lack of housing options.

One of the prior issues was the carbon tax, as constituents felt forced to pay for the taxation due to not having other viable modes of transportation other than vehicles in their province. An Elections Canada ‘vote’ sign in Toronto on Oct. 21, 2019. (680 NEWS/Kevin Misener)
