Woman, 77, seriously injured after being hit by driver in Halifax

A 77-year-old woman is in hospital after being hit by a driver this morning in Halifax.

Police say around 8 a.m., the woman was crossing Larry Uteck Boulevard near Kearney Lake Road when she was hit.

Her injuries were believed to be serious, and she was rushed to hospital according to officials.

Officers said the woman was in a marked crosswalk when she was hit.

The driver was ticketed and given a $697.50 fine.
