Environment Canada has issued a yellow snowfall warning for central Nova Scotia. The weather agency says 25 to 30 cm of snow is expected between Sunday evening and Tuesday morning. Wind gusts of 50 to 70 km/h will cause blowing snow making travel difficult. “The heaviest period of snow will be overnight tonight and into Monday morning,” Environment Canada says. “Strong winds gusting up to 70 km/h along the Atlantic Coast will give reduced visibilities in blowing snow over open and exposed areas.” A number of flights from Halifax Stanfield International Airport have been cancelled and the airport authority says more delays and cancellations can be expected throughout the day. Flight status can be observed online. The Halifax Regional Centre for Education has yet to comment on the possibility of school closures Monday. Such obstacles prevent crews from clearing and can caused accessibility issues for pedestrians. More information on municipal winter operations can be found on the municipality’s website. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Carney says Canada has ‘no intention’ of pursuing free trade deal with China next post نبيل البقيلي يكتب من هاليفاكس عن: الرئيس البذيء و”الحاكم” الحكيم.
