Halifax police search for suspect in break and enter

Regional police are investigating a break and enter that took place in Dartmouth Monday night.

Police said at roughly 1:30 a.m., police responded to a home on Thistle Street for a break and enter in progress.

According to HRP, the suspect took off when approached by the homeowners and was last seen heading in the direction of Mic Mac Mall.

There were no reported injuries.

Police said the suspect is described as a man with a scruffy beard who is approximately 5’5″ to 5’6″ tall, who was carrying a light-colored backpack and wearing dark clothing, including, a dark winter jacket and a blue and white toque.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
