Halifax police charge woman with attempted murder after stabbing

Regional police have charged a woman with attempted murder following a stabbing in Halifax’s west end.

On Saturday at roughly 3:35 p.m., officers responded to the 6500 block of Bayers Road for a reported stabbing.

Police said officers breached the door of the location and arrested the suspect without incident.

According to HRP, the victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital. The victim and the suspect knew eachother.

Police said 41-year-old Marley White will appear in Halifax Provincial Court to face charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats.
