CANADAHALIFAX news Halifax police charge two men following assault, robbery at Walmart by admin 6 January، 2026 written by admin 6 January، 2026 67 CITYnews halifax / By Chris Halef Regional police are investigating a robbery and assault that took place at a Walmart in Halifax. On Sunday shortly after 5 p.m., officers responded to a robbery that took place at the Walmart on Mumford Road where security reported a man left the store with stolen merchandise and when confronted, the man assaulted two security guards. Police said once officers arrived, Halifax Shopping Centre security was helping Walmart security restrain the suspect. He was arrested. According to HRP, a second man was also arrested for assaulting the Halifax Shopping Centre security guards in an effort to free the suspect.
