Halifax police ask for help finding missing man

Police in Halifax are turning to the public for help finding a missing man.

According to police, 66-year-old William(Billy) Curwin was reported missing around 9:40 a.m. Monday, after last being seen in the 350 block of Pleasant Street in Dartmouth an hour earlier.

Curwin is described as white, approximately 5’9″ and 195 lbs with a slim build and short grey hair. Police say he was last seen wearing a brown sweater, grey jogging pantsand possibly blue sandals.

“There is no information to suggest that Billy has met with foul play, however, police and his family are concerned for his well-being,” police said in a media release.

Anyone with information is asked to reach out to police or Crime Stoppers.
