Halifax named one of Top 5 cities in Canada by Travel and Leisure Magazine

Readers of Travel and Leisure Magazine have named Halifax one of the Top 5 cities in Canada.

The distinction comes as part of the publications’ World’s Best Awards survey, where it asked people to rate locations based on sights and landmarks, culture, cuisine, friendliness, shopping, and overall value.

In our first appearance on the list since 2017, Halifax placed third with readers highlighting its friendly people, small-town vibe and proximity to the Bay of Fundy.

One person even referred to our city as the “best-kept secret in the world.”

“Its beauty is majestic and its people are a joy. There is no drawback,” the reader said.

Quebec City tops the list, followed by Vancouver. Montreal placed fourth, with Banff rounding it out.
