Halifax man suffers life-threatening injuries after Timberlea crash

He was air-lifted to hospital; Highway 103 was closed for several hours but has since reopened

Halifax District RCMP are investigating a collision on Highway 103 in Timberlea after a vehicle fell in the ditch.

According to the RCMP news release, Volkswagen Passat was driving east between Exit 3 and 4 when it drove off the road and ended up in the ditch.

The driver, a 29-year-old man from Halifax, suffered life-threatening injuries and was air-lifted to a hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.

Highway 103 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
