Halifax man faces arson charges after early-morning fires on Spring Garden

A man has been arrested for allegedly setting fires in Halifax on Thursday morning.

Halifax Regional Police said officers and Halifax Fire personnel responded to a fire on Spring Garden Rd. just after 4 a.m.

According to police, two separate fires, one involving a planter and another an advertising sign, were found and quickly extinguished.

Police say 41-year-old Allan Robert Patrick will be in court Thursday facing two counts of arson.
