Firearm seized during search of Lower Sackville home

A rifle with a pistol grip has been seized during the search of a Lower Sackville home.

RCMP say the Guns and Gangs Unit executed the search warrant on Maple Grove Ave. early Thursday morning.

Several people were arrested and all but one were released without charges.

A 31-year-old Lower Sackville man is facing charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm while knowing its possession is unauthorized, unauthorized possession of a prohibited device, possession of a prohibited device while knowing its possession is unauthorized, unsafe storage of a firearm, storage of a firearm contrary to regulations and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He’s been released on conditions and will appear in court at a later date.
