(Joanne Roberts, CityNews) CANADAHALIFAX news Driver arrested for impaired driving after serious crash in Beaver Bank by admin 28 مايو، 2026 written by admin 28 مايو، 2026 36 CITYnews halifax/ By Steve Gow A man has been charged for impaired driving after a crash that hurt both the driver and passenger and sent the single vehicle airborne. The RCMP say emergency crews were called out to the 2200 block of Beaver Bank Road on Tuesday evening where investigators determined a BMW 330 left the road, went through a ditch and over a culvert before becoming airborne and striking a power pole, cutting it in half. While the driver was outside the vehicle, the 40-year-old passenger was initially unresponsive and sent to hospital for treatment for serious but not life-threatening injuries. At the hospital, the driver, who also sustained serious injuries, provided a blood sample that police say was sent for analysis to determine blood alcohol level. The 42-year-old has been arrested for impaired driving and dangerous operation of a vehicle. The investigation is ongoing but police are asking anyone with with video footage of the BMW as it travelled south on Beaver Bank Rd. between 8 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. is asked to contact RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment at 902-490-5020.
