(CityNews Image) CANADAHALIFAX news Driver and dog deceased in single-vehicle collision by admin 20 July، 2025 written by admin 20 July، 2025 68 CITYnews halifax / By Rachel Morgan One person is dead and another suffered life-threatening injuries following a single vehicle collision in Petite Rivière. RCMP say it happened July 17 at approximately 11:40 a.m. when Lunenburg District RCMP, fire services and EHS responded to a crash on Italy Cross Road. Officers learned that an Infiniti Q50 had been travelling south when it left the road, went down an embankment and came to rest in the ditch. The driver of the car, a 34-year-old man from middle Sackville, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, a 32-year-old woman from Burlington, Ontario suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital. A dog was also riding in the car and was found deceased. An investigation is ongoing as a collision reconstructionist pieces together the incident.
