Criminality not a factor in Kentville death: RCMP

by admin

CITYnews halifax / By Steve Gow

The RCMP is saying criminality did not play a factor in the death of a woman in Kentville over the weekend.

On Saturday around 9:00 a.m., Mounties responded to reports that a woman was found dead on a trail in North Kentville.

Responding officers identified the woman as a 47-year-old from North Kentville.

Following an investigation, the RCMP says it does not believe the death to be suspicious.

The investigation is ongoing in partnership with the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service under the provincial Fatality Investigations Act, with
support from the Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit and RCMP Forensic Identification Services.
