Fillmore asked for two staff reports, one looking into creating a tool for businesses to provide feedback on red tape in the municipality. Another motion asked for a report to review sidewalk patio permit fees, including potentially getting rid of them entirely. Both of those motions were approved at Tuesday’s meeting. “Small businesses are under real pressure right now – and City Hall needs to do our part to lower costs, cut red tape, and make it easier to operate.” says Mayor Fillmore in a statement. “While broader economic challenges remain, we have a responsibility to look at where we can ease the burden and remove barriers in our own systems.” Both motions were unanimously approved by Regional Council. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Atlantic chiefs call for Indigenous collaboration on offshore wind farm development next post Why Trump’s plan to drop gas tax may leave U.S. drivers feeling empty You may also like RCI : Révision de l’ACEUM : Dominic LeBlanc... 2 June، 2026 RCI : Une travailleuse temporaire enceinte se fait... 2 June، 2026 RCI: Guerre en Iran : les discussions se... 2 June، 2026 Poilievre reproche à Carney d’éviter les questions sur... 2 June، 2026 RCI: Les syndiqués de Postes Canada votent en... 2 June، 2026 RCI : Les Premières Nations n’ont pas été... 2 June، 2026 نموّ قطاع التصنيع الكندي بفضل عمليات تخزين يُرجَّح... 2 June، 2026 بواليافر يطالب بنقاش برلماني طارئ حول ’’الركود‘‘ الاقتصادي 2 June، 2026 لقاء بمونتريال يحفز المهاجرين على النجاح دون نسيان... 2 June، 2026 citynews halifax : N.S. mass shooting survivor dies... 2 June، 2026
