According to a release, officers were dispatched around 10:30 p.m. to Lahey Road in Dartmouth after reports of a shooting. Responding officers say they found a 39-year-old man who had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say they are not treating the shooting as a random act. Few other details were released but the Major Crime Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is investigating.
