The search got underway late on the night of March 10, as the RCMP responded to a report of two men, aged 73 and 77, not returning home after going ice fishing in Belleisle. One of the men was found dead the following day, but the second man was not located. According to police, the RCMP was called last Friday to a report of a body found on the shore of the Annapolis River near Belleisle. “The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service was engaged and confirmed that the remains were those of the second missing ice fisher,” read a media release from police.
