HRM said a recreational water quality advisory is in effect at Birch Cove Beach and Shubie Park Beach in Dartmouth until further notice due to high bacteria levels in the water. Residents are advised to avoid swimming at these beaches until the advisory is lifted. While a recreational water quality advisory is in effect, the use of the beach area is at the user’s risk. Lifeguards will remain on-site during regular hours to advise against swimming. The city says staff regularly test the water quality at all supervised municipal beaches during July and August. Recent test results indicate that the bacteria levels at these beaches exceed Health Canada guidelines. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Lower Sackville man faces multiple drug charges after failing to show up to court next post Fire at popular Halifax deli You may also like Manitoba man killed in Shubenacadie car crash 27 أبريل، 2026 Prime Minister Mark Carney announces Canada’s 1st sovereign... 27 أبريل، 2026 Power restored after thousands in the dark in... 2026 Liberals must show results in spring economic update:... 27 أبريل، 2026 Bayers Road blood collection clinic to reopen Tuesday 17 مارس، 2026
