CITYnews halifax: Police arrest suspect in connection with downtown stabbing

Emergency personnel responded to a block downtown in Halifax for a man suffering a stab wound.

Police were the first to arrive and found the 50-year-old. They gave him first aid until paramedics came.

It happened around 6:40 p.m. in the 5600 block of Spring Garden Road on Wednesday. Paramedics said that his injuries were non-life-threatening.

Officials looking into the incident were able to identify a suspect who was arrested on Thursday morning.

A 30-year-old is in custody in connection with the stabbing.
