CITYnews halifax: Macdonald Bridge to close overnight Tuesday and Wednesday

Two weekday overnight closures have been announced for one of Halifax’s cross-harbour spans.

Halifax Harbour Bridges says the Macdonald Bridge will be closed to vehicles from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, and again from 9 p.m. Wednesday until 5:30 a.m. Thursday.

The Tuesday night closure will also see the pedestrian sidewalk closed, with cyclists and pedestrians sharing the cycling lane.

HHB says the closures are to facilitate asphalt repairs on the bridge.
